Season 1: Coinbase Data
The focus of Season 1 is on Coinbase data contributions. Early contributors are rewarded for sharing their trading data, proportional with the value their data brings to the dataset overall. The data tokenomics reward users who join earlier more through a halving schedule, and reward those with more trading volume.
Halving Schedule
Initial: Full rewards (~$0.30 per point)
10k-100k users: 50% rewards ($0.15 per point)
100k-500k users: 25% rewards ($0.075 per point)
500k-1M users: 12.5% rewards ($0.037 per point)
1M-2M users: 6.25% rewards ($0.019 per point)
Points System
Base Points:
0 points: Verified Coinbase account connected, with at least $1 in trading volume before December 1, 2024. Real-time data is included as part of the data contribution, but the cutoff date is designed so new accounts are not accepted.
Trading Volume:
$100: 5 points
$1,000+: 25 points
$10,000+: 50 points
$100,000+: 150 points
$1,000,000+: 500 points
Trading Activity:
1.2x multiplier: 10+ trades monthly
Portfolio diversity:
5+ assets: 10 points
3-4 assets: 30 points
Historical data:
1+ year: 50 points
3+ years: 100 points
Loss Recognition:
500 additional points: Verified losses over $1M
50 additional points: Verified losses over $100k
Active Position Rewards:
50 points: Monthly positions held 7+ days
200 points: 6+ month positions
100 points: 3+ concurrent positions
All rewards are distributed weekly based on points earned. Early contributors benefit from higher reward rates before halvings occur. Points earned never expire, but their token value follows the halving schedule as our community grows.
