FAQ
Learn more about Finquarium
What exactly is Finquarium and how does it work?
Finquarium is a platform that lets you earn rewards by securely sharing your trading data. You connect your trading accounts, continue trading as normal, and we automatically track your activity. Your data is encrypted and anonymized, giving you full control while earning FIN tokens for your contributions.
How do I earn rewards and what are FIN tokens?
FIN tokens are rewards you receive based on your trading volume and activity. These tokens give you voting rights in the DataDAO.
Is my trading data secure?
Your data is anonymized then encrypted with a key you uniquely control and added to the Vana network. Access is then granted to Finquarium, and when the Finquarium DataDAO votes to use the data, it can be decrypted and used anonymously. We use enterprise-grade security and encryption, ensuring your data remains private and under your control at all times.
Which trading platforms are supported?
Currently, Coinbase is fully integrated and available for connection. Binance integration is coming in Q2 2024, followed by Kraken in Q3 2024 and Robinhood in Q4 2024. We're actively working on adding more platforms - you can request your preferred platform through our integration request form.
What happens to my data and who can access it?
Your trading data is anonymized and encrypted as soon as it's collected. Only you hold the encryption key. When the DataDAO (which you can participate in) votes to use the data for specific purposes, it's always used in an anonymized, aggregated form. Individual trading data is never shared or sold to third parties. You can revoke access or delete your data at any time.
How can I request access to Finquarium's trading data?
If you're interested in accessing our anonymized trading data for research or analysis purposes, please DM us on X (@finquarium) or fill out our data access request form. Our team will get back to you with information about data access options and pricing.
Isn't centralized exchange data already available onchain?
No, centralized exchange trades do not usually occur onchain, so their trading data is only available to them. This gives them a unique insight into the market, typically only reserved for them.
